Rural Utopias
(2019-23)Rural Utopias is a program of residencies and exhibitions in rural and remote Western Australia. Artists Georgie Mattingley, Nathan Gray, Jacky Cheng, Tina Stefanou, Jo Darbyshire, Bennett Miller, Ana Tiquia, Sarah Rodigari, Alana Hunt, Elizabeth Pedler and Mike Bianco are developing new works alongside their host communities, responding to new social, environmental, and historical contexts.

(2021–23)Know Thy Neighbour #3 is a provocation to the familiarity of place, asking communities to step outside of familiar engagements and locations; to seek out scenarios or contexts that defamiliarize and recontextualise "the local" for audiences, communities, or the artists themselves and ask how we can meaningfully engage in the making of our cities.

North by Southeast
(2015–18)Drawing together our most ambitious program to date, North by Southeast was a major new exhibition at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. North by Southeast presented the resulting new works developed by 11 artists from Nordic countries and Australia during their ventures into new landscapes and unfamiliar terrain.

Future Recall
(2013–15)Crossing the boundaries of art, history and community, Future Recall comprised 12 commissioned projects that took place in regional and remote Western Australian communities and one overseas location throughout 2013 and 2014.

Art Out of Place
(2009–12)Art Out of Place is the culmination of a two-year collaboration across time and place and presents new works by 21 Australian and overseas artists and collectives. Exploring the relationship between globalisation and local identity, the artists were invited to live and work in one of 16 regional communities across Western Australia for 10 weeks in order to create new work through a protracted engagement with the local social and environmental context.
